Even though I live on the West Coast, where NBC tries its hardest to ruin the Olympic viewing experience for Pacific time zoners, I’ve really enjoyed the Rio Games. Watching my 5-year-old son’s fists clench in anticipation as Michael Phelps makes the final turn, or as the track pack heads down the straightaway in the 400m, is a cool feeling; he’s learning about competition beyond traditional team sports and about the value of hard work. He’s still asking questions about a hurdler we watched false start in his first heat and was disqualified from competing. Good life lessons here.
My friend Hunter over at Prinstant Replays is commemorating the legendary events unfolding in Rio with some beautifully designed prints. There are four so far—three swimming, one track—and all are boldly colorful and lively. I imagine they’d look perfect in a playroom, home office or in the bedroom of goal-oriented kid. Pricing starts at $25 making these prints way more attainable than a gold. Go get ’em || PRINSTANT REPLAYS: OLYMPICS COLLECTION
