- Bury your head in your kid’s Halloween haul as deep as you’d like, but you can’t ignore the looming holiday shopping season forever. Some of my favorite brands are rolling out new product to kickstart things, including the guys at Criquet Shirts in Austin. They recently released the overshirt you see above and no, sorry, it doesn’t come with the FJ or the beer. But like its brand brother—the J&T-approved long sleeve Players Shirt—it does come with unlimited cool weather versatility. So will it be the yellow or green one under your tree? || Criquet Shirts: The J.R. Shirt
- At the friendly end of the Christmas gift cost spectrum are these handly little pouches from my friends at Hudson Sutler. At $25 apiece, they’d make a great stocking stuffer and serve as a great catch-all for all the things—headphones, gum, parking-meter change—you currently can’t find in your briefcase/valet/laptop bag || Hudson Sutler: EDC Pouches
- These are not new, per se, but they’re new to me, and they’re undoubtedly going to be the next casual sneaker I own. I pretty much live in low profile canvas or canvas-like shoes—think Jack Purcells or Rod Lavers—and SeaVees have captured that clean, laid-back look I like. Toughest decision is going to be slate navy or natural. Maybe both? || Huckberry: SeaVees 08/63 Hermosa Pimsoll Standard
- New magazine California Sunday continues to crank out quality, creative content. The longreads are good to bookmark for flights or bedtime reading, and I really enjoy these short, picture-heavy pieces too. Kinda makes me want to go hunt some mushrooms || The California Sunday Magazine: White Gold
